We have decided (via a player's suggestion) to create a "New Player Helper" level of user.
The purpose of this is to create a group of volunteer users who are both happy and willing to help new players find their feet in the game. I see this as an opportunity for many players to give the help they've previously offered to Call of Combat without having to burden themselves with too much.
New Player Helpers will be identified by a blue star in lobby, and will be automatically joined to the new players lobby. Anyone will be able to apply to an MP to become a New Player Helper as of Noon CST on 31st July. In most cases any application with be actioned immediately.
It should be remembered though that it is entirely possible that New Player Helpers will become a primary point of contact between new players and Call of Combat, as such will be an official representative of Call of Combat, and behaviour at all times (these blue stars cannot be switched off) ought to reflect this.
Players ought to consider that this is an excellent opportunity to recruit new members to AGs, and it would be good to see a spread of players from all the AGs volunteering.
We hope to see many players applying and using this as a springboard to involve themselves in the games future.
